About the publisher
Editorialis ViaVeritatis is an Independent entity that was created in 2024, with the objective of developing a reliable and accessible repository of refereed knowledge, taking into account some fundamental principles for the promotion of an editorial culture: ethics and scientific integrity, service, thematic focus, academic quality, editorial quality, access, appropriation and editorial research.
It has three sections: editorial planning, editorial management and editorial services, which cover the different stages of editorial projects and publication of works of academic and editorial quality (books, academic journals and gray literature).
Editorialis ViaVeritatis is committed to the dissemination and visibility of academic production in research, teaching, general dissemination and topics of general interest of authors, through a catalog of works that meet high standards in their editorial quality and contribute to reflection. On current global issues and society.
Beginning
Editorialis ViaVeritatis will aim to become a reliable and accessible repository of refereed knowledge. To achieve this objective, its management will be guided by the following principles, which will be the foundations of the editorial culture:
Ethics and scientific integrity. The works that are published must come from ethical academic processes and good research practices that seek honesty, precision, transparency, and objectivity, within the framework of respect for copyright and intellectual property.
Editorialis ViaVeritatis subscribes to the ethical guidelines of organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and of declarations such as the Singapore, Montreal, and Amsterdam agenda of the WCRI, and the San Francisco declaration on the evaluation of research ( DORA). This, among other joint regional initiatives, that seek to ensure ethics in the publication processes, the integrity of research, and the production of reliable scientific and academic knowledge.
Service. The processes involved in publication, content management, editorial production and post-publication will be managed efficiently, seeking to promote timely, respectful and collaborative interaction between editors, authors, evaluators, and readers.
Thematic focus. The Editorial will publish works that contribute to all levels of knowledge with multidisciplinary lines of research. Its editorial plan, however, will focus on those topics that allow it to build collections and differentiate its catalog from other independent editorial projects.
Academic quality. All books published by Editorialis ViaVeritatis are submitted to editorial evaluation and evaluation by academic peers external to the publishing entity in the “double-blind” modality. Each document is evaluated for its contribution to knowledge, training, dissemination and scientific and academic dissemination, according to its approach and the purpose of its editors or authors.
Editorial quality. The works will undergo professional editing processes and will adopt the editorial conventions of each discipline, in order to guarantee their readability and consultation.
Acceso. Editorialis ViaVeritatis will seek to ensure that all its works reach its readers in a timely manner, and in the formats, media and platforms that facilitate their location, consultation and use. Also, as an independent publisher, it will promote open access through different editorial projects.
Appropriation. Regarding the academic content that is published, dissemination content will be produced and spaces will be provided in which the published texts are discussed, and their repercussions on the discipline, in professional training, in the classroom, in the current context or in problem-solving.
Editorial research. The publishing world is dynamic and Editorialis ViaVeritatis will contribute to knowledge in academic publishing, by developing several lines of research on problems associated with publishing such as writing and reading in the general academic context, content management processes, arbitration processes, editorial production, textual types, and use of works.
Strategic objectives
Editorialis ViaVeritatis has the following strategic objectives:
1. Develop an editorial culture in the scientific community that revolves around academic integrity, writing and reading texts, and the use of editorial production in research, teaching and additional processes in independent literary works.
2. Call for the writing and presentation of texts for the collections and projects that are part of the editorial plan.
3. Select the best works for publication through editorial evaluation and peer arbitration processes.
4. Subject the selected works to professional editing to guarantee their editorial quality.
5. Disseminate each work in its discipline and in the most appropriate formats for its purpose and target audience.
6. Disseminate those contents of the editorial catalog that are of general interest or that serve to reflect on current issues, opinion, or solve problems.
Post lines
Books. Publications that have a defined purpose and thematic axis, and that can be conceived as works by a single author or as collaborative works. Books are individually registered in the publishing catalog by an ISBN, and online by a DOI (digital object identifier), and may be covered by an ISSN, if it belongs to a collection of books defined by subject or focus.
Scientific magazines. Serial publications that serve as a means of disseminating original articles and research results that promote the advancement of knowledge in a discipline or the transmission of validated and replicable knowledge. They are registered at the journal level by an ISSN, and at the article level by a DOI.
Gray literature. Texts that seek the rapid dissemination of a work, research result, current topic or reflection, or that are in a transition phase to become something more (a scientific article, a book chapter, a book). This includes student series, working documents derived from research, teaching support material such as class notes, compilation of workshops or guides, essays or writings of a theoretical nature, which all seek to strengthen formative research processes, innovation, and entrepreneurship of undergraduate or graduate students. They can be registered with a DOI or also include other types of records, as defined by the Publisher according to the particularities of a text or the collection to which it belongs.
